25 years young !

Born at the dawn of the third millennium, your Great Magazine of Timepieces is celebrating its 25th anniversary. We have shared thousands of watch launches with our readers around the world, interviewed fascinating personalities from brands of all sizes, visited Manufactures ranging from the most innovative to the most traditional, attended trade shows and events on every continent, as well as meeting with enthusiasts and collectors from many countries. What recurrent joy with each issue and each highlight in the watchmaking calendar! However, GMT is not the only key player in the watchmaking landscape (along with its sister website WorldTempus) to be celebrating a silver jubilee: the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) will keep the entire industry on tenterhooks during its 25th awards ceremony honouring the year's most deserving creations. We have decided to celebrate this double anniversary by organizing a joint event. Above and beyond the candles and trophies, we are thus delighted to offer our readers an exclusive copy of the official GPHG catalog, accompanied by a a fascinating feature article on the watchmaking “Oscars”.
We also look back at the sixth edition of the rapidly growing Geneva Watch Days with two of the co-founders, Jean-Christophe Babin (LVMH watch division) and Edouard Meylan (H. Moser & Cie.), analyzing the event’s current relevance, as well as that of the GPHG and how their brands are doing amid the current economic climate.
