The GPHG Academy created in 2020 has hit its stride and currently has over 650 members. For this 2022 edition of the GPHG, it has nominated 90 timepieces, divided into 15 categories, which are presented in the following pages.

These 84 watches and 6 clocks are in the running to win one of the 20 awards, including the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix best-in-show prize. They will be highlighted this autumn in a series of exhibitions held in New Delhi, Casablanca, Geneva, Zurich and New York (pages 17-18).

See you on Thursday 10 November next live or at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva to discover the awardwinners announced at the 22nd edition of the GPHG.

At a time when UNESCO has listed watchmaking skills within the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, and with watchmaking and art demonstrating ever greater affinities, we are moved by the memory of the late Carlo Lamprecht, former President of our foundation, who sadly passed away this year. He dreamed of giving watchmaking the title of 12th Art and we are taking up the torch.
